The last months of 2017 offered us a much-needed purge. #MeToo#BelieveWomen put scumbags in the limelight and brought down, upon many of them, the consequences they deserve. There is much more to do and speaking up about abuse is immensely triggering for myself and many of us.
HOWEVER! It's a New Year! In 2018 I want to hear MORE MORE MORE from WOMEN whose voices have been quieted or silenced...or who simply couldn't find space for themselves. I want to make the SPACE, I want to be LOUDER, and moreover I want to AMPLIFY the voices of women.
During the first month of this brand-spanking-new year, I'm going to to be highlighting a bunch of the awesome women in my life who I want to hear more from. I WANT TO HEAR MORE FROM ALL OF YOU!
There is no particular rhyme, reason or order to my promotion. Maybe I saw you yesterday, maybe I'm wearing your socks...I'm just going to call 'em as I think of them. If you're up to something rad and you'd like a Libby bump or a Libby hug (or Libby anything)- remind me! This month and all day, every day, all year round. I've got your back.

First up: My Mom! Sunee Ward
Some leaders are grandiose, some leaders lead beautifully by quiet example. My mom is the best leader by example I have ever met: thoughtful, generous, considerate, curious. She's clever and punny and writes the most fabulous rhymies! She's an artist and an athlete. She shares compassion more freely than any person I have ever met.
I want to hear more from my mom!
