One of my favorite performers, and greatest inspirations. 🎶
“She was prominent as a jazz singer...” (sidebar: I dunno why they say singer- she can sing- but she is a PIANIST, a brilliant, musical, technical, astounding pianist) “...throughout the 1930s and 1940s. In 1950, she became the first black person to have a TV show, The Hazel Scott Show,[1] featuring a variety of entertainment.” (from Wikipedia)
Look her up on YouTube and prepare to be astounded.

Hazel Scoot is definitely one of the most talented people that I know. I have been to so many of here performances that I have already lost count. Whenever there is an opportunity to see her perform, I just quickly book a ticket. She is a transcendent talent that we will probably fail to see for another decade. I hope that she can perform to the utmost of her abilities, the world needs to see her perform, that is for sure.
